El Dorado
Saddle & Tack is able to upgrade most saddles
to the Easy Slide panel system. Call us to see if
your saddle is capable of being upgraded.
The Easy Slide Flexible Panel Saddles have a multi-layered,
multi-fingered delrin* panel design. The panel has
precision cuts and feathering in the top area along
the spinal processes of the withers – allowing
for a softer fit. The front of the panels are rounded
and feathered, designed for a scapula overlap of up
to 3 inches- if needed for short backed horses, making
it comfortable for all different types of back shapes.
Each of the 3 layers of delrin is smaller than the
previous, this is called Progressive Loading, this
allows for complete and dynamic rider weight distribution
over the entire surface area of the panel while the
horse is in motion. The rear of the panel will also
have an additional layer of stainless steel for the
washer mount to slide upon. The thickness of the panel
layers has also been addressed. Depending upon size
of the saddle 16, 17 or 18 inch seat, the center layer
of the panel is constructed in a way that it will
support the heavy rider and not bottom out and sore
your horse. Or in the case of the lightweight rider
will not act like a springboard if the panels are
too stiff. Whether your horse is wide, narrow or "A"
framed, high or mutton withers, short-long-sway-roach
or mule back in shapes and top-lines, round or slab
sided, most can be fitted with these incredible panels.
We will NOT Claim to fit All horses, Period! We know
there is not a saddle on the market with or with a
panel system that will fit every horse. We do Claim
to be able to fit 99% , that’s the best we can
do. But then again with the use of shims, even those
hard to fit horses will benefit from theses amazing
panels.
How this Easy Slide was developed: In 2005, after
25 years of combined experience in repairing and building
saddles, El Dorado found that the washer-mounts wore
grooves in the delrin material and the panels would
not flex properly. Most of the time the cause was
from the pop rivets breaking off, dirt and horsehair
caked on the panels, or no lubrication. By changing
the pop rivets to copper, the amount of time that
the panels will last has doubled. Adding the stainless
steel slide in the rear has eliminated the wearing
of the delrin, effectively making the Amera-Flex Easy
Slide Panels out last any other. Building Saddles
to last a lifetime! All saddles will come standard
with this amazing panel system, and adjustable rigging.
