The
Easy Slide Panel System Original design by El Dorado
Saddle is a multi-layered delrin, multi fingered design. This panel
has cuts and feathering in the top area along the spinal processes
of the withers, and has a rounded front, making it more comfortable
for all different kinds of horses. We have 3 layers of delrin each
layer smaller than the other for flexibility and 1 layer of stainless
steel in the rear, for the washer to slide on. After many years
of repairing saddles we found that the washer wore grooves in the
rear slot opening in the delrin, and the panels would not flex properly.
Most of the time the cause was from the pop rivets breaking off
or dirt and horsehair caked on the panels, or no lubrication. Also
we changed the pop rivets to the copper rivets. We also found that
the pop rivets break after time and wear. The copper rivets lasted
twice the amount of time and wear of the riding time. The Stainless
steel plate, Original design by Harold & Cindy Walters will
eliminate the wear spots in the delrin. Which in turn will increase
the life of your saddle. We changed the mounts so that the washer
has more freedom of movement. All our saddles come standard with
this amazing panel system. As we continue with repairs on all makes
and models, we will continue our quest for perfection. Our Delrin
panels are manufactured in the United States. We are a small company

Our paneled saddle is designed so that the Our Easy Slide Delrin panels will overlap the horse’s scapula by 1 to 3 inches. On some horses, with very long backs, the saddle does not overlap the scapula at all when you place your saddle in the saddling "sweet spot" you may be an inch or so behind the scapula. This is normal; the soft flexible front edges of our Amera-Flex panel will allow your horse’s shoulder to move under the panel without injury. You will need to adjust the saddle rigging so your girth falls into your horse’s heart girth area. The horse’s shoulders can now move freely under the panels. The Easy Slide panel allows a softer fit in the shoulder area, however you can achieve even a softer fit by tightening up the saddle’s rear rigging on the western style. These panels provide the "flex" needed for free shoulder movement, and they also "twist" from the horse’s withers area to the flat of its back, yet still have the ability to flex down into the horse’s back. Depending on the horse’s shape these panels form to your horses back, and most importantly distributes the rider’s weight evenly across the horses back.
